Business Continuity           Plans in Place
We can’t predict the future, but we can prepare for it. At PF&C we believe in taking action now to be ready for events that may threaten our business operations. We have examined every aspect of our business and designed and documented a comprehensive set of contingency plans to cover as many unforeseen events as possible.

Our inventory of business continuity plans currently addresses the following conditions:

  • Loss of a business location
  • City/Regional disruption
  • Computer failure
  • Loss of a data center
  • Loss of power or telecommunications
  • Loss of key personnel
  • Disruption at third-party partner
Beyond ensuring the plans are in place, a key part of our proactive approach is to exercise the backup facilities, equipment and processes on a regular basis. Further, we make sure every employee understands these plans and their specific role should the plan ever need to be implemented.
The plans encompass all aspects of PF&C’s business operations including those of all third-parties which are involved in daily business activities.
Implementation of Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plan
In the event of a business disruption, PF&C will notify all of its customers, vendors and other relevant third parties as soon as is practically possible.
All customers have been provided with contact numbers at the FCM carrying their account in the event PF&C personnel cannot be reached. Numbers provided include order departments, clearing/back office departments, compliance departments, and client services.
Disruptions at Third-Parties
We have considered the impact of possible disruptions on behalf of third parties such as the FCMs and compliance, accounting, legal and financial companies that conduct business with PF&C. We have obtained reasonable assurance that the third parties have disaster recovery/business continuity plans in place.
Annual Testing
We test our disaster recovery/business continuity plans on an annual basis.
